i bought a stylus one generation up from the bamboo fun (bamboo pen & touch) and guess what. doesn't work.
cool huh.  turns out if your tablet is 6 years old, side effects are 1. you become EXTREMELY attached to it and see no reason to upgrade, and 2. your stylus is no longer manufactured, making them rare and ever so slightly annoying to purchase from third party vendors.
